Autumn Harvest Balloon Walk

Party, Styling, Text and Photos by Sara Schmutz of Confetti Sunshine

This Project Is Part Of The “Autumn Harvest Party” Series.

As a take on the popular cake walk, we created the balloon walk. Instead of the kids needing to land on a certain number to win a prize, they just have to be standing next to the right color balloon to win. The children loved being able to run around the circle of balloons as the music played. But as soon as the music stopped, the children’s laughs and smiles turned into a mad dash to the nearest balloon. Be sure to keep a few balloons on hand as sometimes excited little children might let a few get away.

  1. Fill up a variety of balloons using the Balloon Time Helium Tank (Be sure to keep your tank and extra balloons on hand).
  2. Tie the balloons to mini pumpkins as balloon weights.
  3. Arrange the balloons in a circle.

To play the game, have the kids walk around the balloon circle while the music plays. As soon as the music stops, all the kids run to the nearest balloon. Pick a color and each child who is standing next to that balloon color wins a prize.

Note: Adult supervision is required when using balloons. Please read all warnings and precautions on the Balloon Time carton.
