Marballoons
Occasion
Arts & Crafts
Description
This art activity is not recommended for young children and can
get messy, so be sure to wear old clothes and do this one outside.
Instructions
1. Let older children squirt about a teaspoon of fabric or craft
paint into a balloon, and then put a small marble, or something
similar, inside the balloon.
2. Have an adult place the neck of
the balloon over the helium tank's tilt nozzle and inflate according to
directions on the box. Be very careful not to over inflate. Doing so
will cause the balloon to burst and the paint to splatter.
3. Tie a tight knot in the neck of the balloon, attach a ribbon and gently tie to a child's wrist.
4. Let the children shake their balloons to make marble-like patterns and cool noises inside the balloons.
